The dangers of ocean life
The underwater world seems so beautiful and serene when you first see it. There are marvelous corals and undulating algae, swarms of colorful fish swim by and the movement of waver mesmerizes. Don’t fall for that outward tranquility. This is a cruel and dangerous place for a tiny fish like you to survive. There is danger at every corner and even if everything seems peaceful and quiet, get ready to swim for your life at the first sign of a threat. Keep your eyes peeled – a voracious predator may show from behind an unsuspecting-looking coral reef! In this game there is only one law – kill or be killed, eat or be eaten. The biggest and strongest fish survives and gets to have its smaller kin for dinner. So your first and foremost task is to grow as fast as possible!
To do that, you’ll have to provide yourself with enough food which can be easily done even on early levels. While you are still too small to attack other fish, look among the corals and algae – you’re sure to find some shrimps or snails that will allow you to put on your first few pounds. All food gives a certain amount of experience points. Their number depends on the level of your prey. Lower-level creatures give you less experience boost than higher-level ones. After gaining the first few levels, you can swim out of shelter into the open sea and try sinking your teeth into someone meatier.
Eat, grow and prevail
To defeat your opponent, you’ll first have to bite him and not just one time. Use WASD buttons to move and left mouse click to clasp your jaws. The controls seem to be simple, but there is a trick – you must aim very accurately otherwise your prey might slip away. Maneuverability is a big advantage of tiny fish – they are small and nimble and hard to catch. At the same time, the lack of it makes the life of big fish a bit tougher – they are too clumsy to pursue the novices. But that doesn’t really matter cause once you grow large enough you won’t even have to make any effort to hunt – just open your mouth and swallow everything that gets there.
When you killed your prey, it will fall into several pieces. Each of these slices contains some experience points and to add them to your own level scale, you have to pick up every of them. This might be tricky since there are always plenty of hungry creatures lurking around waiting for someone to drop lush pieces from their lunch. You should stay on the alert and monitor your surroundings to keep away the idle mouthes. However, you can use this trick yourself while still being small and unable to secure your own prey – stick close to big fish and wait for them to get focused on their meal to snatch some juicy bites. Agility is on your side, so you don’t have to worry much about being caught – that is, if you remain careful.
